a full design and specification package for Ground Source Heat Pump systems including ground loop design, plant schematics,
control philosophy and commissioning. This allows Principal Contractors to realise savings through unbundled procurement of
installation services yet still retain performance guarantees and accountability.
With the ever increasing price pressure on contracts we have found that
Principal Contractors have been very open to new avenues to cut costs. This has been particularly evident with Ground
Source Heat Pump installations where contracts have been 'unbundled' thus releasing significant savings.

The Benefits of this Design
& Specification Package are:
1. The Drilling Contractor is engaged directly by the Principal Contractor
which eliminates the duplication of supervision and mark-up on their costs and achieves the most competitive drilling
cost.
2. Similarly, a Groundworks Contractor can be engaged directly for installation of a horizontal ground loop heat exchanger
or for connection pipework to a borehole array.
3. The Heat Pump and ancillary plant can be specified by GeoEnergy and purchased directly by the Building Services Contractor,
reducing mark-up costs and eliminating a contractual interface between two different sub-contractors.
4.
Mimer GeoEnergy can Test
and Commission the GSHP system.
